Charles Greuter Obituary

Charles was born June 21, 1880, in Newark, NJ. He was the son of Felix Greuter (1838-1892) and Margaret Surbeck (1843-1919), and the husband of Sophie Rittershofer (1888-1954). Charles and Sophie were the parents of Ruth Greuter Devine (1907- ), Felix R. Greuter (1910-1995), Charles Greuter (1911-1968), Catherine Greuter (1913- ), Dorothy Greuter Bertele (1914- ), and Robert Greuter (1916-1982). Charles died on Christmas Day in 1953. Exactlty one year later, Sophie died on Christmas Day, 1954. The obituary was published in the Saturday, December 26, 1953 issue of the Newark Evening News.
