Cause of death: Tubercular Meningitis

Frank, Jr. was the third of four children born to Frank and Margaret Bauer.

Tubercular Meningitis is an infection of the membranes covering the brain and spinal cord (meninges), caused by the bacteria that causes tuberculosis. The bacteria spreads to the brain from another site in the body. Symptoms include fever; lethargy; and no desire for food; blackouts; queasiness or sickness; convulsions; photophobia (sensitivity to light); extreme headache; and sore or stiff neck.

Six weeks after little Frankie's death, his father died from kidney disease.

Frankie was buried at Woodland Cemetery in Newark, NJ.
