Cause of death: Left Ventricular Failure
Otto's death certificate states his cause of death was Left Ventricular Failure with Acute Coronary Occlusion listed as a secondary condition. In other words, he had a heart attack.
On October 4, 1943, Otto entered St. Elizabeth Hospital in Elizabeth, and died there four days later. His wife, Anna, was 67 when he died (there was a 14-year difference in their ages), and would live on until 1958.
Otto was buried in Woodland Cemetery in Newark.
