CAUSES OF DEATH
born June 21, 1881, in Newark, New Jersey
died December 25, 1953, in Newark, New Jersey - age 72 years.

Cause of death: Coronary Insufficiency
Charles' death certificate states his direct cause of death was Coronary Insufficiency, an inadequate blood flow to the heart muscles which can cause angina pectoris (chest pain). The secondary cause listed was Arterialsclerosis Heart Disease, or hardening of the arteries. In other words, Charles had a stroke caused by blocked arteries leading to his heart.
Charles and Sophie had six adult children and many grandchildren at the time of his death. The stroke occurred in October and Charles died two months later, on Christmas Day. As sad as this was for a Christian family to endure, it became even sadder one year later when Sophie died, also on Christmas Day.
Charles and Sophie are buried in Hollywood Memorial Park in Union, NJ.
