CAUSES OF DEATHborn @1860 in Poland died March 31, 1927, in Irvington, NJ - age 66 years. Father: Unknown Mother: Unknown Spouse: Lawrence Dyszkiewicz (1851-1924) Cause of death: Diabetes Around 1921, Mary and Lawrence's daughter, Louise, married Charles Maas in Newark and eventually moved to Irvington, NJ where they had one child, Charles, Jr. After Lawrence's death in 1924, Mary moved from Newark to Louise's home at 939 Grove Street in Irvington. By this time, Louise and Charles had divorced, leaving Louise to care for her mother and her son, Charles Jr. She found work as a telephone operator and obtained other income by renting out parts of the house to two other families. In 1927, Mary died there from the effects of diabetes. Diabetes is a syndrome of disordered metabolism, usually due to a combination of hereditary and environmental causes, resulting in abnormally high blood sugar levels. Symptoms are excessive urination, thirst, weight loss and/or a lack of energy. But diabetes is often silent and may exist for many years without the individual's noticing it. Mary was buried with her husband Lawrence at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Newark. |
