Cause of death: Chronic Endocarditis

Matthew was living at his home at 77 Murray Street in Newark with his wife Mary Ellen and four of their adult children, Helen, Joseph, Grace, and Eugene, when he died there from Chronic Endocarditis.

Chronic Endocarditis is a bacterial infection of the lining of the heart. Symptoms include tiredness, weakness, fever, night sweats, aches & pains, and heart murmur. Death usually occurs due to the weakness of the patient and the patient's heart.

Matthew was buried in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Newark.
