CAUSES OF DEATH

Cause of death: Broncho Pneumonia
Broncho Pneumonia (Bronchial Pneumonia) is caused by bacteria invading the lungs, leading to inflammation of the bronchial tubes causing fluid to build up, thus reducing the amount of air that can be maintained in the lungs. The patient suffers from severe coughing and difficulty breathing. Other symptoms include chest pain, rapid breathing, and shortness of breath. Fever, sweats, a headache, and weakness are also usually present.
Prior to her death, little Catherine suffered the pain of the loss of her mother who died six months earlier. After her mother's death, her father was left alone with raising her and her twin siblings, John and Mary, who were nearly four years old. Eight months after the loss of little Catherine, her father took a second wife, Anna House, to help with raising the twins.
