Michael Grznar Military Records
Michael was born in Piermont, New York on February 9, 1911. He married Ethel C. Bechtold. She was born in Yonkers in July of 1917.
He was 5'5" tall and weighed 135 pounds, with brown hair and eyes and a dark complexion. He was an auto mechanic.
On August 21, 1942 he enlisted in the Army. He served in a coast-artillary, anti-aircraft unit. In May of 1944, he contracted an ear infection called Chronic Otitis Media,
a condition for which he was hospitalized. He was honorably discharged on November 12, 1944.
He and Ethel were living in Mahopac, in Putnam County, New York when Michael died on October 29, 1975. He was buried at Saint John's Cemetery in Yonkers.
Ethel was living in Florence, South Carolina when she died on June 3, 2001 at the age of 83. Her burial location is unknown.
